After completion, students enter an electrical apprenticeship for 3 years to gain work experience before returning for the trade test process.

A flexible option ideal for individuals working during the week. Covers the same curriculum as the full-time course, spread over a longer period for better balance.

How do I enrol in the course?

To enrol, please follow these steps:

  • Complete the registration form that was emailed to you.
  • Prepare clear copies (scans or photos) of the required documents (see below).
  • Email the completed registration form together with the supporting documents.
  • Wait for our confirmation email, which will include payment details and next steps.

What documents must I submit?

You need to provide:

  • A clear copy of the learner’s ID (ID book, smart card, passport, or birth certificate)
  • A clear copy of the parent/guardian’s ID (only required if the learner is under 18)
  • The fully completed registration form

Where must I send the registration form and documents?

Please email everything to the address provided in the registration email you received. If you can’t find it, simply reply to any previous email from us or send your documents with the subject line “Registration – [Learner’s Full Name]”.

I haven’t received the registration form yet. What must I do?

Send us an email with the subject “Request for Registration Form – [Learner’s Full Name]”, and we’ll forward it to you immediately.

How long will it take to get confirmation after I’ve submitted everything?

We normally review and confirm registrations within 1–3 working days. You’ll receive an email with payment details as soon as your application is approved.

When will I receive my timetable and preparation material?

As soon as your registration is fully processed and payment is received, we’ll email you your personalised timetable and all preparation guidelines.

Is the college accredited?

Yes. Monster Electrical College aligns its training with national occupational standards and SANS regulations, ensuring you are fully prepared for your trade test through Nomanzi Trade College.

Do I need any prior experience to enrol?

No prior electrical experience is required. Our training starts with the basics and gradually builds toward advanced electrical systems and hands-on practice.

What is the difference between the full-time and part-time courses?

Both courses cover the same content. The full-time course runs Monday to Friday for 3 months, while the part-time course takes place on Saturdays over 9 months — perfect for students who are working or studying elsewhere.

How long does it take to qualify as an electrician?

You’ll first complete your 3- or 9-month training, followed by a 3-year apprenticeship with a registered electrical company. Afterward, you can return to Monster Electrical College to complete your trade test.

How much does the course cost?

Each course costs R39,500, which includes all training materials, practical sessions, and assessments. Flexible payment options can be arranged upon request.

What qualifications do I receive after completing the course?

You’ll receive a Certificate of Attendance from Monster Electrical College, confirming your theory and practical training, which forms part of your pathway toward trade test readiness.

Do you help students find apprenticeships?

Yes. While placements are not guaranteed, we assist by connecting students with our network of registered contractors and partners in the trade.
